We do North Carolina Safety
Inspections on all Motorcycles.

carry a full line of motorcycle parts, apparel, leather,
rain suits, helmets and much more. We have the largest in stock
inventory of after market parts from Drag Specialties, Custom
Chrome and Kuryakyn for your Harley in the area. We are always expanding our inventory

We are located at 6977 Highway 70 in Newport
in between the liquor store and the gun shop.

name above our door we have quality service and our reputation to bring our
customers back. We stand behind all our work.
Extended Warranty
If you have an extended
warranty you do not need to take your Harley to a dealership for warranty repairs we can
now handle it here at The Bike Doctor.

Service and Repairs
We are currently booking appointments about a
3 weeks out. Quality service and repair is still our priority not
volume. We have a limited amount of openings and do our best
trying to help everyone. If you are getting close to needing a
service or tire change please call and schedule an appointment. Or
just stop by and see us.


We are proud to announce
that we are a certified S&S Sidewinder and VFI Service
Center. We have completed the week long course offered in La
Crosse , Wisconsin at the S&S training and certification facility.
We have knowledge of all S&S motors and products.

We now also tune HD race
tuner, HD super tuner and TTS master tuner along with power
commander.
We are an Approved
Dyno Jet Tuning Center. We offer Dyno runs and Dyno tuning on
carbureted and fuel injected Harleys. We have the top of the line
Dynojet 250i in our service area with an experienced MMI ,S&S and
Dyno Jet certified operator.
We use the top of the line
tuning link software to provide advanced tuning techniques. To
optimize power we tune each cylinder separately with results
showing tunes from front to rear cylinder are within 1 half horse
power and 1 half pound of torque. This provides maximum power
output, a crisp clean,
smooth acceleration through out the power band and reduces or
eliminates decel pop all together.



Tech
Tip Stage One
What is a stage one
performance upgrade and what will it do for my bike?
Due to EPA requirements on manufacturers the engine is
extremely restricted. So the stage one improvement removes the
restrictions.
How, reminds me of one of my favorite watering holes in
Myrtle Beach the Suck - Bang - Blow.
1. Imagine your motor is breathing through a straw so first we
remove the restrictive air cleaner and toss it. We install a free
flow air filter like the Big Suck from Arlen Ness. This allows the
motor to take in more air. (Suck)
2.
Now that your motor is breathing like a champ we have created very
lean fuel state (not enough gas for all the air). We correct this
on fuel injected models with a power commander. This will tell the
ECM to inject more gas. On carbureted models we recalibrate the
carb to give more gas. (Bang)
3. We now have to give freedom to the back end to expel the burnt
fuel mixture. (Exhaust) We do this by replacing
the stock exhaust with less restrictive set which
normally is accompanied by a better quality sound also. (Blow)
Now that we have increased the Suck the Bang and the Blow,
(Besides not sounding like a Volkswagen) we have increased
throttle response and depending on the choices of air filters and
exhaust on average we have also gained about 14% to 20% increase in
horsepower and torque.
Here is an example of a completed stage
one. This 2010 Dyna belongs to George Noll. We have installed a
Power Commander 5, Super Gas Air Cleaner with a Rival face plate
by Performance Machine and a set of Vance and Hines Big Radius
exhaust.


Baker Plus 1 Oil Pan
As we know keeping an
air cooled motor cool is important for the life of the
engine. Baker has made that a little easier with the Baker plus
one oil pan.
This oil pan is great
especially addressing the heat generated by Harley's 96 ci motors.
One customer reported a 15 to 20 degree reduction in oil
temperature on his stock 2008 FLHTCU.
The Baker plus 1 cast
models retails for $499. and takes about 3 hours to install.
Following are pictures of a Baker+1 being installed on a 2006
Street Glide
As you can see with the
side by side pictures the Baker+1 eliminates the plastic baffle
system used in the stock Harley oil pan.

Internet Feature Bike
This 2008 Softail Deluxe belongs to
Dillon Miller who's currently serving our country abroad. We will
be doing a cosmetic and performance upgrade to include an
S&S 106 kit and a set of Andrews Cams. We will also be including a
set of wheels. So we first put his bike on the Dyno to get a base
line.
Dillon's bike was producing 66.7
Horsepower and 78.5 pounds of torque. Now we will begin the tear
down.
Now that we have it
tore down we will begin reassembly starting with replacing the
stock inner cam bearings. Then rebuilding the cam plate with a set
of Andrews 37 cams.
We will now finish the cam
assembly on the bike.
We measured the gear offset and made the
necessary spacer adjustment and completed the assembly. We
installed the S&S 106 big bore and completed the top end assembly.
Dillons bike came from Okinawa so we had to
do some corrosion corrections the Island life is rough on a bike.

David's 1996 FLHRI went through a black out
make over with 59 pieces being powder coated.
Stephen's 2004 Road King Fueling 574 cams,
Fueling lifters, Fueling push rods, Fueling beehive valve springs
and Sceamin Eagle cam plate and oil pump kit.
Ed's 2001 Road King gets a S&S 97 cubic inch
big bore, Andrews 37 cams, Screamin Eagle cam plate and oil pump
kit, followed up with a Show Cut from Diamond Cut.
Joe's 2001 Road King came in needing some
tender loving care. The Coastal living took its toll on his
aluminum and chrome pieces, so rather than replace them we pulled
them all off and had them powder coated including the front wheel.
As you can see she is breathing new life.
